Monsters and Madmen, Heroes and Humans: Character Design Class

One afternoon session, 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Saturday, September 12

Fee: $20
Class limit 15 people

What makes a character? Is it their favorite snack, their bushy eyebrows, their relationship with their mom, their all black wardrobe? Come spend Saturday, September 12 building a character from the ground up. We’ll examine how hopes, fears, body type, fashion choices, gear combine to make a character unique.

Both experienced artists looking for a fun exercise and newbies finding their feet are welcome! If you’re interested in manga, graphic novels, or superhero comics, we’re happy to have you. We’ll have comic books to read, snacks to nibble on, and exercises to do. Feel free to bring your own favorite characters and tell us why you love them.

Please bring: A sketchbook, pencil, and black fine liner pen (micron recommended but not required.)
