**This is a workshop exclusively for BIPOC (Black/Indigenous/People of Color) writers, prioritizing Queer, Trans, and Nonbinary BIPOC. We ask all allies to take a step back from this workshop.**

Continuing our summer theme of Survival and Tenderness, join us for an hour and a half workshop with widely lauded artist and writer Mimi Zhu! This workshop centers writing of deep and intimate reflections. 

We will hold a safe space where we can collectively feel a deep sense of presence and liberatory peace with the written word. 

The course will include guided meditations, followed by free-writing, writing prompts, and sharing.

Mimi Zhu (they/them) is a queer Chinese-Australian writer and artist. They explore the many intersections of love and fear, and they facilitate workshops that are dedicated to the healing power of the written word. Their work has been featured in The New York Times, PAPER, i-D, The Guardian, Printed Matter, VICE, and more. Their debut book BE NOT AFRAID OF LOVE is coming August 2022. They are based in Brooklyn, New York.
