Hwang Jungeun is the award-winning author of two short-story collections and three novels, including, in English translation, One Hundred Shadows (2016) and the forthcoming I’ll Go On, both published by Tilted Axis Press. She is known for her nuanced, sensitive evocations of working-class Korean life.

Song Kyung-dong has received human-rights and literary prizes for his poetry and essays. His writing is informed by his involvement in the labor movement and his work as a plumber and welder. Several of his poems were recently translated and published in Korean Literature Now, the magazine of LTI.

Jennifer Kwon Dobbs is an associate professor at St. Olaf College and the award-winning author of the poetry collections Paper Pavilion and most recently, Interrogation Room (White Pine Press, 2018), which restores redacted speech and traverses forbidden borders to confront the unending Korean War’s divisions of kinship, self, and imagination. Her essays, poems, and academic writings explore transnational adoption, Asian-American identity, race, and class.

E. Tammy Kim is a reporter and essayist whose work has appeared in publications including The New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, and The New York Review of Books. She previously worked as a social-justice lawyer, and volunteers as a labor organizer.
