Digital Communications Intern
BEA PHI is a Stanford University studying Comparative Literature with a minor in Creative Writing. On campus, they have acted in productions with the Asian American Theater Project and now serve on its board as a literary archivist. Off campus, they have worked as an intern coordinator for Prison Radio, a Bay Area nonprofit that records and publishes interviews, commentaries, essays, and spoken word from political and politicized prisoners across the country. In their free time, they like to write short stories and novellas about Asian-Americans trudging through heartbreak, homesickness, and other losses. Their current obsessions include but are not limited to Mieko Kawakami novels, any and all things Studio Ghibli, the movie Chungking Express, and old Japanese pop.
