Yong He (黄永和) is from Singapore. His essays have appeared in Conversation X, New Naratif, and Mynah Magazine. He has a BA in Ethnicity, Race & Migration from Yale University, and is currently an MA student in Performance Studies at New York University. He writes about model citizens, about love and punishment, and about the legacy of colonial law as it continues to structure life and feeling for its subjects.
