Jessica Atal (Santiago de Chile) is the author of Teoría de una práctica amorosa (2020, Ediciones Bonnefont), Ella también se va (2018, Editorial Cuarto Propio), WhatsApp, Amor (2016, Uqbar Editores), Carne Blanca (2016, Editorial Cuarto Propio), Cortina de elefantes (2014, Ril Editores), Arquetipos (2013, Ril Editores), Pérdida (2010, Ril Editores), and Variaciones en azul profundo (1991, Ediciones Unicornio). In 2004, she received the Edward Said Prize awarded by the Palestine Belén 2000 Foundation. She is the mother of Elisa, José, and Nicolás.
