Jung-rim Choi is a Korean American writer who, in her words, “has endured poverty, holding a single dream in my heart like a star.” An award-winning poet in the Korean language, she published her first essay collection at the age of seventy-five. When she is not reading or writing in her mother tongue or communing with fellow book lovers, she enjoys cooking, cleaning, playing with her grandchildren, singing along to music, attending mass, and taking drives to a nearby lake. She lives in Killeen, Texas.
