Karina Fantillo is a storyteller and dancer who learned about her Philippine roots and American culture through folk dancing in San Francisco, where she immigrated as a child. As a folk dancer of Philippine culture in the US, she grapples with the history and generational trauma passed down through cultural dances. Karina earned an MFA in Writing at the University of San Francisco. Her poems have appeared in the San Francisco Public Library, The Racket, Eunoia Review, Night Music, Discretionary Love, boats against the current, The Rising Phoenix Review.
