Kim So-wol (1902 – 1934), born Kim Jeong-sik, was a Korean poet from the colonial era. Also known as the “Folksong Poet,” Kim is remembered for writing poems that utilized the rhythm and tone of traditional Korean folk songs. He published a single collection of poems in his lifetime: Azaleas (1925). He died by suicide.
