Mayyu Ali is a Rohingya refugee, a poet, and author of EXODUS, his debut poetry collection. During the August 2017 crackdown in Myanmar, his home and village were burnt down by the military. He and his parents escaped to Bangladesh and have since been living in Cox Bazar refugee camp. He documents Rohingya culture and ancient Rohingya folksongs, lullabies, and folktales.
