Nguyễn Thanh Hiện born in 1940 in Nam Tượng village of An Nhơn district of Bình Định province, is now based in Qui Nhơn city, vernacularly known as Giã. With a degree in Western Philosophy from the University of Saigon, he has lived as an educator and author and has published works in literary journals within Vietnam and abroad.
