Swati Sudarsan was born in Ontario, Canada, and grew up in Michigan. She lives and works in New York, and is a 2025 Asian American Writers’ Workshop Margins Fellow and 2025 Periplus Fellow. She received the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference Katharine Bakeless Nason Award in 2023, and was longlisted for the Granum Prize in 2024.
