Kabel Mishka Ligot was born and raised in and around Metro Manila in the Philippines. He holds an MFA in poetry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he received the 2019 Jerome Stern Teaching Award. Mishka’s work has been published or is forthcoming in Akda: The Asian Journal of Literature, Culture & Performance, Bear Review, and Cha. He is a Tin House Summer Workshop fellow and a recipient of the Don Belton Scholarship for Poetry at the 2019 Indiana University Writers’ Conference. Mishka currently lives in the Midwest. @taglishes
