Sense & Sense-making: A Roundtable on Im/migration & Literary Imaginations

A CUNY “Mapping Asian American New York” faculty seminar, this roundtable will discuss the links between writing and migration. Organized by CUNY Associate Professor of Philosophy Kyoo Lee, this event will feature Asian American writers and intellectuals discussing the spatiotemporal “sparks” of imagination that push forward narrative and document cross-cultural spaces of arrival. Speakers include Guggenheim Fellow Meena Alexander, AAWW Executive Director and Yale Younger Poet Ken Chen, literary theorist Chong Chon-Smith, philosopher Kyoo Lee, bestselling novelist Min Jin Lee, literary theorist b, and novelist Patricia Park.

Note: Identification is required to enter the Roosevelt House.
