Come Hear Open City Writers Represent in Sunset Park This Saturday!

This Saturday, September 8th from 2-4 PM, join our very own Open City magazine in Brooklyn to hear AAWW homies Ed LinAnelise Chen, and Rahna Reiko Rizzuto read new work, as well as a spoken word performance by Buendia, a local grassroots Sunset Park artists collective.

Open City is co-hosting this event with the NARS Foundation and Brooklyn Museum’s GO Project, a community-curated open studio weekend event taking place in neighborhoods throughout Brooklyn. So, if you come to hear these Open City favorites read their work, you’ll also get to enjoy drinks from a set of exhibited ceramic clay vessels by Ming Yuen-Schat, and have an opportunity to participate in a clay workshop for children and families with Veronica Frenning in conjunction with the Brooklyn Museum’s current exhibition Interpreting Rituals: The Butterfly Effect, an exploration of what is sacred in our contemporary society.
