Apyang Imiq grew up in the Ciyakang village in Hualian, Taiwan, and is a member of the Truku tribe. He graduated from National Taiwan University’s Graduate Institute of Building and Planning. He is currently the president of a tribal village experiential tour company. Apyang was named Best New Author at the 2021 Taiwan Literature Awards and has been awarded the Taiwanese Indigenous People Literature Award multiple times.
