Samira Sadeque is a New York-based Bangladeshi journalist and poet. She reports on migration, hate speech, mental health and gender (and sometimes the intersection of all that), among other issues. Her journalism appears in The Guardian, NPR, and Reuters; her poetry in Button Poetry; No, Dear Magazine; and Black Horse Review, among other publications. She is a 2020 Brooklyn Poets Fellow, and a 2019 Best of the Net nominee. She graduated from Columbia Journalism School in 2017.
