Simi Kadirgamar is a New York–based reporter and fact-checker. Her areas of interest include the impacts of war, militarization, and ethnonationalism. Her writing on South Asia includes stories about the occupation of Kashmir and the transnational networking of Hindu supremacist organizations. Her other work spans a number of different topics. Recently she has begun investigating how fascists have used mixed martial arts as a platform to promote their violence and normalize hate.
