Zeina Azzam is the daughter of Palestinian refugees from 1948. After her childhood in Beirut, Lebanon, her family immigrated to the U.S. when she was ten years old. She is the author of the poetry collection Some Things Never Leave You (Tiger Bark Press) and the chapbook Bayna Bayna, In-Between (The Poetry Box). Zeina is a writer, editor, and community activist and serves as the poet laureate of Alexandria, Virginia, where she lives.
