huiying b. chan is a visionary poet, cultural organizer, and facilitator born and raised in Brooklyn on Lenape Land. huiying’s work centers race, migration, ancestral resilience and remembrance, rooted in love. huiying facilitates transformative workshops that hold space for people to remember themselves and connect to their lineages. huiying is a former AAWW Open City Fellow and has also received fellowships from Kundiman, The Poetry Foundation & Crescendo Literary, and VONA/ Voices. huiying is currently working on a poetry manuscript that explores matrilineal legacies, self-remembrance, and reclaiming unwritten queer and trans lineages.
