Madihah Akhter (she/her) is a member of the Alliance of South Asians Taking Action and co-directs a diversity fellowship for graduate students at Stanford University. Her research and teaching focus on transnational histories of gender, political power, Muslim societies, labor, migration, and colonialism in the Global South in the last two centuries. In addition to teaching at Tufts University, Stanford University, and the City College of New York, Madihah has been part of international activist campaigns for over ten years.
