Phoua Lee is a queer Hmong American writer born and raised in California. She is currently an English undergraduate at California State University, Fresno. Her work integrates Hmong cosmology, the supernatural and mythology/folklore with the Hmong LQBTQ+ struggle and the second-generation Hmong American experience. She likes 3 a.m. soda for when inspiration hits and believes that there’s a little bit of magic in everything. Her work has appeared in BreakBread, Talon Review, and Slippery Elm, among others.
