Sunaina Maira (she/her) is a member of the Alliance of South Asians Taking Action and a professor of Asian American Studies at the University of California, Davis. Her research and teaching focus on Asian, Arab, and Muslim American youth culture, migrant rights and refugee organizing, and transnational movements challenging militarization, imperialism, and settler colonialism. Additionally, Sunaina is a current ASATA member and has participated in anti-war coalition work in the Bay Area for many years.
