Zhanar Irgebay was born in Kazakhstan and raised in Israel and Philadelphia. She hopes to amplify Central Asian American voices and experiences through her work. She holds a bachelor’s in literature from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s in international relations from the University of Chicago.
