Ninotchka Rosca

Ninotchka Rosca is a Philippine-born writer and journalist who has been published internationally. She has received multiple awards, including the American Book Award. Her collection of short stories, Stories of a Bitter Country was released recently. Her novel, State of War is considered a classic of Philippine literature. A resident of New York City, she is also a pioneer organizer of women of Philippine ancestry in the United States. She leads the Transnational Committee of AF3IRM, a national organization of women and women-identified of color in the U.S. with a collaborative network in various continents.
